TAKING FLIGHT
'Primarily working from the human figure, I respond expressively and intensely to my subject’s physical and emotional presence. This series of drawings was the exciting beginning of much larger works, giving me momentum and creative release. Thus, Taking Flight became the title of the collection.
I hope that I echo this in the work, and that you too gain a sense of uplift and fresh energy. These drawings work to communicate an emergence out of physical boundaries, pushing outwards, beyond the vessel of the body.'
